Maruti Suzuki launches first LCV at Rs. 4.04 lakhs in India

MAruti Super CarryMaruti Suzuki, India’s largest passenger vehicle maker, launched its first Light Commercial Vehicle “Super Carry” at a price of Rs 4.03 lakhs in Ahmedabad.

Maruti Suzuki Super Carry has a 793 cc diesel engine and delivers a mileage of 22.07 Km per litre and comes with a loading capacity of 740 kgs and a loading deck of 3.25 Sq. meter, said the automaker.

Super Carry has a turbocharged diesel engine that delivers a peak torque of 75nm @2000 rpm and a 5 speed manual transmission gear box, the compnay added.

Features for the Maruti Super Carry include better ride & handling, lighter steering, smooth gear shift and 4.3m minimum turning radius, better safety and stability, chassis built using rust resistant galvanised steel, front disc-brakes, the company said.

Also included are LSPV braking system, bigger mirrors, enhanced comfort spacious cabin, flat comfortable seats with thick glass fibre heat shield for better heat insulation and ergonomically designed pedal.

He added, “Maruti Suzuki has changed the way India drives, similarly Super Carry will bring in a revolution in the LCV segment. Our target is to reach out to more customers, for this we plan to set up 50 showrooms across five states.”

Maruti Suzuki has invested about Rs 300 Crores towards the development of Super Carry for the Indian market, said the company.
