NTPC raises Rs 800 cr non convertible debentures

 

NTPC PowerNTPC announce today said that it has raised Rs 800 crore as through private placement of secured non-convertible debentures at a rate of 7.58% per annum.

The debentures will have a maturity period os 10 years added the company.

The fund will be utilized to finance capital expenditure and refinancing the debt requirements in the ongoing projects including recovery of expenditure already incurred.

NTPC had yesterday reported a 4.3% growth in profit to Rs 2,340 crores with QoQ increase in installed capacity by 2130 MW.

The company also reported a power generation grew by 10 % in April-June quarter as compared to the same period the previous year.
