Meanwhile, Bharti Airtel has increased 3G charges in Punjab by about 15%. The company had, yesterday, said it would give 4G data packs at less than 3G rates.

As a result of the increase in 3G data packs in Punjab, Bharti’s 4G data packs are now cheaper than 3G data packs. For example, a 2 GB pack costs Rs 495 in 3G, but only 455 in 4G.

Idea continues to maintain its 3G prices. Tata DoCoMo and Aircel have cut prices to around Rs 150 for 1 GB.
