The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India has asked Loop Mobile to inform its subscribers that it would stop its services in its only circle, Mumbai, permanently on November 28.
Loop Mobile did not participate in the Mumbai spectrum auction and therefore has no spectrum to continue its services once its license expires on November 28.
It tried to sell its subscribers to Bharti Airtel, but has not got permission for the deal yet from the government, according to reports.
An estimated 12-15 lakh subscribers with Loop will find their phone numbers cancelled on Nov 29 if they don’t port out of Loop before then.
