Google and Network18 will host Arvind Kejriwal on their Google Plus Hangout program at 3 pm today, in an event that has been linked by Google from their India search home page.
The event is part of a series of ‘Hangouts’ hosted by the two partners in the lead up to India’s general elections later this month. Other leaders who have, or have plans to be on the program, are Arun Jaitley of the BJP, Jairam Ramesh of the Congress Party, Shivraj Singh Chouhan of the BJP, Omar Abdullah of the National Conference and social activist Anna Hazare.
Participants will be able to ask questions to Arvind Kejriwal (and other participants on their designated days) from their Google Plus or Gmail accounts using the Hangouts feature.
Arvind Kejriwal is the head of the new-generation political party, Aam Aadmi Party. The AAP regularly uses its Google plus account, Vyvastha Parivartan, to organize meetings with its state and district units, and to take feedback from the public on policies.
As of 1313 IST, around 8,300 people had signed up on the event page to participate in the event.
