Ortel Communications, which provides broadband services in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telengana, West Bengal and Madhya Pradesh, has announced new plans in line with the cheapest 4G plans offered by rivals like Reliance Jio. It has also cut prices for its high-volume plans.
The Rs.99 plan will give 500 MB data per day @ 2Mbps, although the customer can continue browsing even after reaching the daily limit, at post FUP speed.
Another 1 GB daily data plan has been introduced at Rs.129- per month.
For Rs.349, customers can get 1 GB data per day for 3 months.
Earlier, it was providing just 30 GB per month at 1 Mbps for Rs 399, and 10 GB for Rs 299.
With this, it said, it was withdrawing all plans which offer speeds of less than 2 Mbps.
It said it has also introduced new Unlimited FUP plans in the speed range of 5 Mbps, 10 Mbps, 20 Mbps, 50 Mbps and 100 Mbps with monthly data limits ranging from 40 GB to 1 Terabyte “at very affordable price points”.
The 100 Mbps Terabyte FUP Unlimited plan price has been slashed by over 50% to make internet guzzling more fun than fear of bills, Ortel said.
All plans are valid for full calendar month and not for 28 days.
It also said that customers can buy 1 GB of high-speed data for Rs 10 after exhausting their daily caps.
Users also get 10% to 50% discounts on their cable bills by subscribing to broadband plans.
The company said it aims to increase the average data consumption of its users from 18 GB to 100 GB per month.
