Vodafone India unveiled a new pack priced at around Rs 69 that allows users to make unlimited calls for one week at just Rs 69.
The scheme is among the most affordable voice plans in India for GSM users.
The total cost works out to about Rs 250 per month.
Unlike other schemes that are promotional in nature, this one is a regular tariff and available to every one. Similarly, it won’t disappear after a couple of weeks, as any regular plan has to be around for at least six months.
The scheme also offers 500 MB of data valid for the week.
The move is in response to latest tariff plans announced by the likes of Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel.
On Diwali, Jio announced new plans that offer unlimited calls at Rs 149 for four weeks.
However, unlike Vodafone’s plan, Jio’s offer only works on 4g devices.
Similarly, Bharti Airtel and Idea Cellular offer unlimited calls for 12 weeks at Rs 400. These too are available only for 4G users.
For 2G users, networks in India typically charge Rs 350 per month for unlimited calls, and in comparison, the Vodafone scheme is priced considerably lower.
