Bajaj Auto said it will unvel the “all-new KTM Duke Range” of motorcycles in India on Feb 23 at an event in Mumbai.
The event, which will start at 11:30 AM and will most likely be streamed live on Youtube, is likely to launch the 2017 Duke 390 and possibly the Duke 200 bikes.
The Duke 390 is the most popular bike from the KTM brand, part-owned by Bajaj Auto.
The 2017 KTM 390 Duke is also powered by the same 373 cc engine found in the 2016 model, but the company has made some tuning changes and develops a maximum power of 44 bhp along with a peak torque of 37 Nm.
The highlights of the model include a split full LED headlamp, pure digital TFT instrument cluster and an aggressive streetfighter styling that resembles KTM’s 1290 Super Duke. The headlamp is not split from center, but it is a single unit with LED strips on the sides.
The Duke 390 2017 is likely to be priced at Rs 2.15 lakh, about 19,000 higher than the 2016 model.
Both new bikes do away with underbody exhaust outlet and sport full, side-exhaust systems.
Duke 200 will come with a 200 cc engine outputting 25 PS and 19.2 Nm.
The bike will come with upside-down forks in the front, mono shock at the rear, 110/70 R17 MRF rubber in the front and 150/60 R17 MRF tyre at the rear. However, there will be no ABS, or slipper clutch.
