Mohanlal’s new movie ‘Lucifer’ that hit the theaters on March 28 has already emerged as a blockbuster at the box-office, and within seven days, the movie has grossed more than 85 crores worldwide. One of the major highlights of the movie is the spectacular action scenes choreographed by Stunt Silva.
However, in a recent talk with Manorama Online, Stunt Silva has revealed that it was actually Prithviraj Sukumaran who originally choreographed the action scenes for ‘Lucifer’. During the talk, the acclaimed stunt man claimed that he was just a stunt coordinator in this film, and all the works including action choreography were done by director Prithviraj.
“When I initially heard the name Prithviraj Sukumaran, I was not aware who he was. Even though I had worked with Prithviraj in movies, I thought that it was a different Prithviraj who is directing this movie. My job in this movie was very simple. Prithviraj had written everything on paper, and it includes Mohanlal’s mannerisms during the stunt scenes and the things he should do during the action sequences. My job was just to make Mohanlal do these tasks. Later, I informed Prithviraj that he is the real action director of the film,” said Stunt Silva in the movie.
In the interview, Stunt Silva revealed that no ropes were used during the action scenes of ‘Lucifer’. As per Stunt Silva, Mohanlal performed all kinds of action scenes without the service of dupes in ‘Lucifer’.
“Mohanlal is undoubtedly a blessed performer. Lalettan used to behave like a 13-year-old boy while performing action scenes. He does not have any hesitations to perform high-voltage action scenes. At some points in time, he used to perform more brilliantly than junior stunt artists who are professionally trained,” added Stunt Silva.
‘Lucifer’ showcases the story of Stephen Nedumpally, a South Kerala politician who has both good and evil faces. The film is loaded with an ensemble star cast that includes Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Vivek Oberoi and Nyla Usha.
