Darjeeling born and Harvard educated Tibetan leader Lobsang Sangey has become the new Prime Minister of the Tibetan government in exile.
The result for the elections of the 15th Parliament in exile was announced today in Dharamshala, the capital of the Tibetan government in exile.

For the first time the role of the prime Minister is going to be far more politically significant than the past. The reason being the announcement by the spiritual leader,Dalai Lama to abdicate all political role in the management of the Tibetan affairs.
The new Prime Minister will have the responsibility to guide the Tibetan movement from where Dalai Lama has left it.
