Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, today, announced competitive and attractively priced celebratory fares for travel in the coming New Year. These special economy class fares are on sale effective September 29, 2014 to October 01, 2014, and valid for travel anytime between January 16, 2015 and August 25, 2015, onboard the airline’s domestic flights within India.
Guests may enjoy attractive discounts on base fare and fuel surcharge, starting from all inclusive Rs 700 across all destinations on the airlines’ domestic network, the company said.
The scheme comes on the heels of a Rs 699 offer from rival SpiceJet. The SpiceJet scheme too is underway at current time.
Readers should note that often the airlines offer only a couple of seats or at most under a dozen on each flight under such schemes.

Jet Airways is trying to claw back its marketshare from rivals like SpiceJet and Indigo who have eaten its lunch right under its nose over the last three years. Jet, which always prided itself on not being low-fare or low-cost, has of late adopted strategies similar to those of its competition.
Most airlines in India do not offer food or other freebies in an effort to make air travel as affordable as possible.
Jet’s new sale is not applicable on group bookings and available on 1st come 1st serve basis. Jet Airways has been at the forefront of introducing attractive special fares and innovative products while being competitive for providing exceptional value to its guests.
