SpiceJet announces major network expansion

SpiceJet today announced the launch of several new flights on its four existing routes with effect from June 15, 2014. The airline is adding capacity on Bangalore-Mangalore, Chennai-Madurai, Bangalore-Hyderabad and Delhi-Lucknow sectors. All these new flights will be served with 189-seater Boeing 737 aircrafts.

SpiceJet is introducing a daily new flight on Bangalore-Mangalore route. The airline is adding capacity on this route by deploying Boeing aircraft and this is in addition to the existing flight being operated with 78-seater Bombardier Q400.

It is also adding flight on Chennai-Madurai sector. SpiceJet is adding capacity on this route with new flights on Tuesday and Saturday to make Chennai-Madurai-Chennai as a daily flight. The airline already operates a daily flight on this route and with this new connection capacity on this sector would get doubled.

A new flight on Delhi-Lucknow route is being introduced that will fly daily except Saturdays. With this, SpiceJet will make Delhi-Lucknow a day return service from both ways. This new addition will make SpiceJet the first departing airline from Lucknow as well as Delhi. Airline expects this will help flyers to manage their time in better way.
