H&M opens second store in Delhi

Hennes & Mauritz AB, the Swedish fashion retailer, said it will open its second store in New Delhi on Saturday, 7 November, 2015.

The new store will be situated at Ambience Mall, Vasant Kunj and will be spread over more than 28000 sq. ft.

The first seven women in queue on opening day will be rewarded with gift cards of Rs 7000 each, followed by the next 300 being rewarded with gift cards of Rs 700 each and a limited edition H&M India tote bag.

“The three-floor space will offer latest trends, timeless classics and inspiration for women, men, teenagers and children. Later this year, the store will also showcase the cheerful and eclectic Holiday Collection starring pop icon Katy Perry,” the brand said.

H&M had opened its first store on 2 October, 2015.

“Following the tremendous response to the country opening, we are all set to introduce the second H&M store just in time for Diwali. India is an attractive destination to foreign fashion brands due to its English-speaking and rapidly growing affluent class.

The opening of its second store will be accompanied by DJ and on-ground entertainment, H&M said. It will open its first store in Bengaluru next year.
