SpiceJet today announced the addition of three new flights and 137 new connections to its current network.
All of these new flights and connections are between cities currently served by the airline, and give passengers even more options to get from one place to another on the network on a single airline with a single ticket through a convenient connection, the company said.
Connections help flyers travel using connecting flights without having to purchase two tickets.
The new flights being added effective August 29 are Delhi – Guwahati – Agartala vv (daily), Bengaluru – Kolkata – Guwahati vv (daily), and a third frequency of Bengaluru – Kolkata vv on Saturdays only.
New connections that are open for sale with immediate effect include Amritsar to Chennai, Delhi to Bangkok, Bengaluru, Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai to Male (Maldives) and Chandigarh to Goa.
New connections also include Hyderabad to Dubai, Madurai to Muscat, Mangalore to Jabalpur and so on. (See full list below).
“With the opening of these new flights and connections, we are giving passengers in India many more domestic and international travel options than ever before on a single ticket and single airline,” said Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Operating Officer, SpiceJet Ltd.
“Single airline, same ticket connections are the best way to travel if there is no convenient direct option, as it removes the risk passengers often face when building their own connections across multiple airlines with separate tickets if they miss their connection. If you are on a single ticket connection with us, we will take care of your needs seamlessly from the start to the end of the journey” he added.
“In addition all domestic passengers across our network, as well as international passengers connecting from domestic to international through Chennai, Kolkata, Kochi (Cochin), and Madurai, will have their baggage tagged and checked-in to the final destination, making the journey even more hassle free”, he concluded.
