AirAsia has been largely quiet in the war for market share in the Indian aviation market. The most aggressive player, SpiceJet, has been bringing out one sale after another for the last 1.5 years.
AirAsia, which has a reputation for providing affordable air travel, however has been circumpsect about its strategy so far in India.
The current offer is one of the biggest by the company since entering India about two years ago.
