Akshay Dhoot, nephew of Videocon Group chairman Venugopal Dhoot, has joined Videocon Industries as head of technology.
“He brings in a fresh vision and energy towards the futuristic technology in the field of home appliances and consumer electronics. In his new role, Mr. Akshay Dhoot will be instrumental in formulating technologically advanced products at Videocon and transforming the consumer electronics segment into a next-gen enterprise,” the company said.
Videocon Group has interests in household goods, mobiles, DTH, retail, oil & gas, and power.
A graduate from the University of Warwick, UK, Mr. Akshay Dhoot pursued his bachelor’s in Engineering specializing in manufacturing and automotive design. He has worked across Videocon Group companies, especially in manufacturing and R&D sector for CE & HA and Videocon D2H. “In addition to his management titles, he is raring to take the opportunity to lead technology aspects at Videocon over the coming years.”
