Volkswagen India said its car sales in India rose 10% in February, in line with the overall industry trend. Europe’s biggest carmaker also announced a new variant of its Vento, the Magnific.
“he Vento is one of the safest cars in its segment, boasting high levels of build quality and outstanding driving dynamics. The Special Edition Vento Magnific builds on that by offering higher levels of standard equipment and, hence, even more value,” it said.
In 2014, the company launched new versions of Polo GT and Vento, and unveiled the new Jetta in February this year. “Volkswagen’s sales in India are now showing a clear upwards trend,” it said.
The Indian market is dominated by Japanese brands – Honda, Suzuki and Toyota.
