Industry association ASSOCHAM, which has members from most of the big industrial groups in India, today said the opaque nature of decision making in India should be done away with to prevent incidents like the latest ‘corporate espionage’ involving top industrial houses in India.
In a statement, the association said: “One fails to understand what is all this fuss about? After all, any Indian citizen can rightfully access any government information or even document through a legal way by the Right to Information Act.”
The Delhi Police busted an alleged racket of big oil companies and their agents infiltrating into government office after regular hours and copying crucial documents for intelligence purposes.
