OnMobile Global Limited launched its new consumer brand, ONMO, and showcased some of its other new products.
“The company has been working towards this change for over two years now. It has made significant investments in core technology, product development, processes and people to get ready to serve consumers directly,” said the company.
Onmobile has a base of more than 1.5 billion mobile users globally.
It started out as a provider of caller tunes to telecom operators, and diversified into similar on-deck value added services. However, with the explosion of data, the market momentum has shifted to non-telco (off-deck) apps such as WhatsApp.
OnMobile said it is also re-aligning its Corporate Social Responsibility program and will fund, an NGO to cover the cost of free surgeries, cochlear implants, and hearing aids, to the underprivilaged, with a special focus on children.
OnMobile is headquartered in Bangalore, India. It delivers over 500 million music plays daily to mobile customers worldwide.
Based on current deployments, OnMobile has an addressable base of more than 1.5 billion mobile users across several geographies.
