Mahindra & Mahindra launches “eSupro” electric vans at 8.5 lakhs

The cargo vans are priced at Rs 8.45 lacs while the passenger variant is priced at Rs 8.75 (both Delhi ex-showroom price).

The eSupro platform will cater primarily to the B2B segment and would be available across Mahindra dealerships pan India.

Mahindra had acquired Chetan Maini’s REVA electric vehicle company, one of the pioneers of e-vehicles in India. The latest lauches mark a major step forward for the company’s push into electric vehicles.

“The two zero emission variants eSupro cargo and passenger vans have a range of 112 kms on a full charge and can achieve a top of 60 kmph,” said the auto manufacturer.

Pravin Shah, President and Chief (Automotive), Mahindra & mahindra Ltd. said, “The launch of eSupro will usher in a whole new concept in emission-free cargo transportation and people movement. The eSupro will provide a much needed fillip to companies in the B2B and e-commerce segment.

“Owing to its host of commercial applications and its sutability for last mile connectivity, the eSupro platform is ideally suited for the deployment in e-commerce, courier services and transportation companies for the infra city use,” said Arvind Mathew, Chief Executive Officer, Mahindra Electric.

The eSupro comes with a 72V battery pack of long-life, maintenance-free lithium-ion batteries. The vehicles emergency feature will give 7 kms of extra range once you are out of charge.
