Jet Airways has launched a new online shopping platform which will reward its users with its air miles that can be redeemed for booking flights later.
The first partner in the venture is Flipkart, which will provide the back-end support.
Points are earned every time a customer shop on the platform. The JPMiles accumulated by shopping can then be redeemed for award flights across 1,000 destinations, or at the JetPrivilege reward store, which has over 500 products to choose from.
“Members can earn up to 16 JPMiles for every Rs 100 spent on flipkart.com, but only when they access the e-commerce website via the portal shop.jetprivilege.com,” said the airlines company.
JetPrivilege members can then redeem these JPMiles for an award ticket on Jet Airways flights after they have recorded a minimum of 2 activities and 3,500 JPMiles.
Jet said it will add more shopping partners to the platform over the coming months, giving shoppers the option to earn JPMiles across a number of product categories.
Flipkart is India’s largest e-commerce marketplace with 40 million products.
Jet Airways is India’s international airline which operates flights to 67 destinations, including India and overseas.
Jet Privilege Private Limited is a specialized loyalty and rewards management company, a joint venture between Jet Airways and Etihad Airways, established to develop, manage, operate and market JetPrivilege – an internationally acclaimed, award winning loyalty and rewards programme.
