Kilitch Drugs (India) Ltd said its unit Kilitch Estro Biotech Plc acquired land for the installation of a pharma plant in Ethiopia.
4317.5 sq. mtrs of land was allotted at Oromia special zone by the Bureau of Rural Land and Environmental Protection, Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia on lease for a period of 45 years.
Kilitch undertakes contract manufacturing for over 20 pharmaceutical companies including Ranbaxy Laboratories, Sandoz India, Zydus Cadila, Nicholas Piramal India, etc.
“The terms of allotment are very similar as to allotment of land by MIDC in India and hence beneficial to KILITCH,” said the company .
The land is located near the highway with three phase electricity passing through.
The company was founded in 1978 by entrepreneur Pratap Mehta, which produces and markets sterile injectables, drug formulations in solid, liquid and parenteral dosage forms..
Kilitch owns two formulation manufacturing plants in India , one in Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh and one in Navi Mumbai in Maharashtra.
