NTPC, a power generation company, said its first hydro power project, the 800 MW Koldam Hydro Project in Himachal Pradesh, achieved more than its targeted power generation levels.
The project, built on river Sutlej, began commercial operation in July last year.
In the financial year 2015-16 it generated 1794.71 million units of electricity and in July this year, the project achieved the a plant load of 107.27 per cent — the highest among all Central and State sector power stations in the country in July.
