Eveready Industries India and Surya Roshni Ltd said they received contracts to design and supply external batten LED tube lights on pan-India basis to Energy Efficiency Services Ltd., a joint venture of public sector unions of Power Ministry.
Eveready said the total value of the contract will be around Rs 17.94 cr, while Surya Roshni said it will be around Rs 27.60 cr.
Surya said the contract will be carried out over five months.
Eveready, which once derived most of its revenue from batteries, has successfully diversified into the LED lighting business and is one of the biggest brands in LED lights in India.
It said it sells more than 1.2 billion batteries and nearly 25 million flash lights.
It also offers CFL lamps & other lightning products, small home appliances and packet tea. The company has distribution network of 4,000 distributors in India.
