iBall launches Slide 7334i – the best 7-inch 3g calling tablet in India

By now, iBall has made a name for itself in the crowded Indian tablet market by coming out with well-crafted and almost high-end devices at mid-range prices.

It recently introduced the quad-core Q9703, the most advanced tablet by an Indian brand. It was also the first to come out with a dual-core tablet, along with HCL.

Now, the company, which is also a prominent computer peripherals brand in India, has come out with an impressive and loaded 7-inch, Bluetooth & 3G-enabled tablet priced at Rs 10,000.

The dual-core iBall 7334i, which also has FM, comes with a 1024*600 pixel display, which has about 60% more dots (pixels) on it than you can find on the usual mid-range or cheap seven-incher in India.

The main attraction of the tablet is that it’s the cheapest model in India with all the above features and is perhaps the best value-for-money ‘calling’ plus 3g seven-inch tablet in the market right now.

Its only competitors are the slightly outdated Samsung Galaxy TAB 2 P3100 (Rs 16,000), the Huawei Mediapad 7 lite (Rs 11,700) and the HCL ME Tablet 3G Connect (Rs 10,500).

While price and age disqualify the Samsung model, the HCL and Huawei models are crippled by the fact that they run on single-core processors. Both the HCL and Huawei models come with just 4 GB of storage memory, despite costing more, compared to 16 GB on the iBall Slide 7334i.

In other words, a true competitor for the iBall 7334i is yet to be launched.

The main features including Dual Core Cortex A9 1GHz processor, 1GB DDR3 RAM and dual SIM with 3G support on both.

The 7334i Slide also supports video calling, a 2MP rear camera and of course, a front camera, built in GPS, FM with dedicated telescopic antenna, dual stereo speakers, Android Jelly Bean 4.1, a 3000 mAh battery and Bluetooth.
