Samsung Galaxy S5 Active to be priced around Rs 40k

Samsung Galaxy S5 Active, the rugged version of the flagship from the Korean giant, will hit the Indian market in around two weeks, and will carry a price tag of around 40,000-42,000 for the LTE version, according to a distributor.

This will make the S5 Active, which will come with LTE, only around 10-20% more expensive than the Galaxy S5 LTE version. The regular S5, with LTE, is available in India for Rs 36,900, while the non LTE version is available for Rs 34,500.

“It [the price] could be as low as 38,000 also,” said a Delhi-based distributor.

It is not known whether a non-LTE version of the model will also be launched.
