Mitashi unveils India’s cheapest UHD TV

Value for money electronics brand Mitashi has announced India’s cheapest Ultra High Definition, or UHD, TV.

The company will sell the item exclusively on Snapdeal.com at a price of Rs 99,990. Most UHD TVs cost above Rs 150,000. The TV is on the bigger side, with a 50-inch panel.

“It’s an ultra-slim and Ultra-HD resolution 4K LED flat panel, a DIVIO named MiE050v01 4K. With a 50(127cms) screen size, Mitashi has yet again managed to bring to the table a quality product that is all set to take the entertainment market by storm,” the company said.

Mitashi products have received mixed reviews in India. While the company manages to price below bigger brands, many customers still prefer bigger brands like LG and Samsung which they believe offer better quality.

The 4K LED TV will be India’s first UHD TV priced below the Rs 1 lakh mark, the company said.

Samsung and LG lead the TV market in India, with new entrants like Micromax and Mitashi trying to make their presence felt. Videocon recently said it would launch India’s first 4K UHD transmission service on its D2H platform.
