The first one is a five inch phone, while the second phone, though called a phone, is actually a 7-inch tablet.

India is no stranger to the Ascend series, with several phones, including Ascend G6, already available in the market. While the P7 is up for sale on Amazon, we are not sure whether Huawei will actually support the purchase with a warranty yet.

In terms of specifications, the phone is in the same bracket as the Samsung Galaxy S5, LG G3 etc.. It is powered by HUAWEI Hisilicon Kirin 910T quad core 1.8GHz processor, 2 GB of RAM, comes with a full HD display adn a 2500 mAh battery. In other words, what you’d expect from a highest end model launched in early 2014.

The downside is the price – Rs 41,000, putting it in the same range as, well, phones like the Galaxy S and LG G3 (well almost.) What you do get is a discount of about 10,000 compared to the Samsung and LG models, and a similar level of service backup.

In addition, the phone comes with both TD-LTE and FDD LTE. TD LTE is the same version as has been launched by Bharti Airtel and Aircel Cellular in many cities in India, while FDD LTE is what operators like Vodafone, Airtel and Idea are going to launch next year. Reliance Jio will launch both. However, on the downside, the phone comes with TD-LTE in the 2.5 GHz band, while in India, the launches have been in the 2.3 GHz band. In other words, the phone will not work on Airtel’s, or Aircel’s current networks.

It will, however, work on FDD LTE networks that are going to be launched next year.  logo-grey-146px

The second phone is Huawei Honor x1 Mediapad x1, priced at Rs 39,500, also on Amazon. While the super-sized phone, which cannot be used with a single hand, will support both types of LTE, it is not clear which bands will be supported. The phone will support speeds of up to 150 Mbps, according to the listing.
