LG has launched the LG Max, a five-inch, 3G-only phone with 8 GB storage for Rs 11,500.

The Korean brand usually launches products that are relatively expensive and offer little value for money, and the LG Max does not disappoint on that count.

For Rs 11,500, you get a 854 x 480 display – a resolution that is now difficult to find even on phones that cost half as much.

To keep the excitement going, there is no 4G, and the processor is 1.3 GHz quad-core. There is 1 GB of RAM and the main camera has a resolution of 5 M.

Battery capacity is 2.5 Ah, and you also do get a free flip-cover with the phone. Unlike its peer Samsung, LG is yet to adapt itself to the new method of low-cost mobile retailing that has taken India by storm.
