India’s biggest e-retailer Flipkart is offering special discounts on its ‘big app shopping days’ from today through Wednesday, including on mobiles, TVs, tablets and clothes.
The highlights of the offer are the discounts on items that are exclusively sold through Flipkart – such as mobile phones from brands like Motorola. Another interesting offer is that if you key in the details of an Axis Bank credit or debit card, you get a further instant discount of 10%.
Here is a list of interesting discount offers we found for you on day 1:
MOBILE PHONES
Sony Xperia Z3 Sony’s ultra-overpriced phone, which was being sold for Rs 50,000 till just recently, is now available for Rs 35,599, including Rs 2,000 off from the card scheme. At Rs 35,000, the phone’s definitely a big contender for anyone looking to buy the best 5-inch phone out there. The Xperia Z3 has almost everything you will want in a 5-inch phone, except for 64-bit Android support.
Samsung Galaxy E7 If you are still waiting for Samsung Grand 3, perhaps you should just buy the Samsung E7 instead. The phone is what the Grand 3 would have been, in terms of both price and specifications. Today, it’s available for Rs 17,500 including all offers – which makes it a definite buy for Samsung aficionados and those who are not worried about two things – the 720p display, and the absence of 4G. The E5 is available for Rs 13,000.
Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro is arguably the best value for money deal in the quad-HD phone space, and today, it’s available for Rs 28,000 (including Rs 2,000 off on Axis bank cards.) The phone is, without doubt, one of the most underappreciated models available in India. Possibly, the lack of headlines around it has to do with the fact that it was out of stock for a long time after it was launched on flipkart about the middle of last year. Originally priced at Rs 32,999, it is now available with a net discount of Rs 5,000 including the card offer, and for Rs 29,999 if you don’t have an Axis card. The next quad-HD phone is priced at Rs 36,500 (LG G3), and is considerably smaller than this one.
Huawei Honor 6 is getting its big brother, Honor 6 Plus, launched tomorrow, and is getting a further price cut of Rs 1,000 on the App today. Including the bank offer, this full-HD, LTE phone is now available for Rs 15,700.
Moto G second generation – the original price is Rs 12,999, and you’re getting Rs 2,000 off plus, if you avail the Axis Bank offer, you’re getting the entire thing for 9,899 – a discount of Rs 3,100 on a price of Rs 12,999. Of course, we’ll let you decide whether you should pay nearly Rs 10,000 for a phone that does not have LTE when a similarly speced phone with 4G, the Xiaomi RedMi Note 4G is available at Rs 9,999 (or Rs 8,999 including the Axis offer.) A similar offer of Rs 1,500 off on Asus Zenfone is also running on Flipkart mobile app today.
Microsoft Lumia 535 – One of the best value-for-money offerings in the entire Lumia range is available on the mobile app today at a discounted price of Rs 7,770 (or about Rs 7,000 if you avail of the bank offer.) The Lumia 535 comes with a 5 inch HD IPS display, has a 5 MP front camera, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage, and support HSPA 3G. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass protection and a 1.91 Ah battery.
Nokia Lumia 730 is available for an effective price of Rs about 12,150. The HD phone was launched about eight months ago for about Rs 15,300, and has got good ratings from buyers.
TELEVISIONS
Micromax 42C0050UHD 42-inch UHD TV is available for Rs 37,990. It is the cheapest UHD TV available in India right now.
Intex LED-4000FHD is the first full-HD 40-inch TV to be available at less than Rs 20,000. If purchased with an Axis Bank card, the TV is available at Rs 19,990 today. Add Rs 1,000 and you can get the similar Micromax 40T2810FHD as well on Flipkart today.
