Novelist,Anuja Chauhan, of ‘The Zoya Factor’ fame is going to be a script writer. Taking a predictable route that most of the writers of non serious faction takes the dashing author of two novels will be writing a script for Nikhil Advani’s next film, ‘Guppie-Mein Liar Nahih Shayer Hoon’.
‘Guppie…’,a love story,will hit the floor by the middle of this year.
The film rights of Anuja’s first novel, ‘The Zoya Factor’ , has been bought by Shah Rukh Khan’s production house, Red Chillies Entertainment. Saregama has bought the rights of her second novel, ‘Battle for Bittora’.
For Nikhil Advani this would be his first independent production.
His earlier movies like, Patiala House, Salaam-E-Ishq (2007) and Chandni Chowk To China (2009) were in partnership with Mukesh Talreja.
Anuja happens to be the daughter- in -law of the senior Congress leader and the Uttarakhand Governor, Margaret Alva.
She claims that her real contribution to the nation’s real politic is mostly limited to serving tea and being seen and not heard in her mother-in-law’s drawing room.
Of late it has become trend with the new writers to venture into film world. Chetan Bhagat, one of the popular fiction writers, also dabbles into Bollywood.
The blockbuster,Three Idiots, was based on his novel.
