Infosys to webcast Murthy’s first AGM function in second term

If you are curious about what NR Narayana Murthy has in store for Infosys Ltd, the IT company is planning to live webcast its annual general meeting that will happen in a week’s time.

The webcast will start at 3 PM on Saturday, June 15, and be accessible on the outsourcing company’s website, infosys.com.

Infosys said on June 1 that Murthy, who co-founded the company and was its chief executive for 19 years until 2002, will return as executive chairman. Surprisingly, it was also announced that Murthy’s son Rohan would also join the company.

Infosys has seen its growth, and its shareprice, erode after the global financial crisis five years ago. However, even as other competitors like TCS Ltd and Wipro Ltd have bounced back from the depression, Infosys continues to be stuck in the slow lane.

The webcast would require an Internet connection of at least 0.6 Mbps (600 Kbps) speed, and either Adobe Flash Player or Windows Media player plugin.
