Google for Entrepreneurs comes to Delhi

Google’s ‘Entrepreneur Day’ is coming to India, or more specifically, Delhi.

Part of its new ‘Google for Entrepreneurs’ program, the one-day event is aimed at getting technology-start ups more clued in to what the market wants, what works and what doesn’t, what tools are available and towards building a broad partnership.

It is holding various events globally as part of the larger programe from Sept 23 to Sept 29 in 13 countries across the world. The Delhi event is slated for today, from 2 pm to 7:30 pm.

“Google started its journey in a garage and today even with 54,000+ employees globally it is still a start-up at heart … Google for entrepreneurs is one such initiative to demonstrate our leadership and commitment to the cause,” it said, announcing the Delhi event.

The half-day event, being held at ‘The Blue Frog’ in Mehrauli in Delhi, will focus on technology entrepreneurship and bring together all the different constituents of the ecosystem including emerging start ups, leading academicians, industry experts, aspiring entrepreneurs from top business & engineering schools and investors, Google said.

“This forum aims at providing a platform for them to share and benefit from each other.”

Besides entrepreneurs, others who qualify for the event are academia and students, incubators and technology leaders.

Karthik Reddy, MD, Blume Ventures and Hitesh Oberoi, Co-founder and CEO, Info Edge India will be special guests.

It will have product demos from technology startups and an elevator pitch by student teams.
