Idea has launched a new dual-SIM smartphone called ‘Aurus’, with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS, 800 Mhz processor and a 3.5 inch multi-touch screen display.
The phone is priced at Rs. 7,190, but also carries about Rs 2,100 worth of talktime and other goodies from Idea Cellular.
“With its large, bright screen, it is the perfect device for watching movies and playing games, and the built-in music player with supplied in-ear headphones offer excellent sound quality. The handset packs a 5 megapixel primary camera (using software interpolation), along with a front camera to support video calls allowing users to not only talk but see the person live in real-time,” Idea said.
Idea said it has already sold more than 1.5 lakh handsets.

ID 918 – Dual SIM, 2.3 Android (OS), 3.2 MP Camera, 3.2-inch Capacitive (Multi Touch) screen, Micro SD support up to 32GB, Geo-tagging, GPS Navigator software, FM radio and MP3 Player, WiFi, Bluetooth, Social Media Apps and Idea TV. It is priced at Rs. 5,994.
Idea Blade offers 2.2 Android OS with 3.5”Full Touch Screen, 3.2 MP camera, G Sensor, Wifi and GPS. It is priced at Rs. 7,992.
Idea ID 280 has 2.2 Android OS, Faster Qualcomm processor, G Sensor, Wifi, GPS and 3.2 MP camera and is priced at Rs. 5,850.
