Lenovo launches first Ivy Bridge Ultrabooks in India @50k

Lenovo, India’s No. 1 PC Vendor has launched the IdeaPad U310 and IdeaPad U410 ultrabooks across the country.

Lenovo’s new U Series Ultrabooks are the first to ship with Intel’s new 22-nm Ivy Bridge processors in the Indian market.

With 17-watt processors, both U310 and U410 have an extended battery life of up to 9hrs.

They also come with fast boot up, instant resume and Lenovo features like rapidboot technology, bootshield, smart update and onekey rescue system.

The best part is perhaps the price, Rs 50,000 or about $1000. Most Ultrabooks launched in India so far have been priced in the Rs 55,000-90,000 price range.

The Lenovo IdeaPad U310 designer Ultrabook has Lenovo Smart Update that downloads emails even while on sleep mode, while the Lenovo IdeaPad U410 designer Ultrabook has a thickness of only 18 mm and sports a stylish designer metal exterior.

Lenovo recently beat Dell and HP to be India’s number one PC brand, thanks in part to a large government contract in Tamil Nadu.
