YS Sachan’s family to move Supreme Court tomorrow for CBI inquiry

The family of the murdered Lucknow deputy chief medical officer (CMO) YS Sachan will move the Supreme Court tomorrow, requesting for a CBI inquiry into his mysterious death.

Sachan was tortured and killed in a hospital in a jail in UP a few days ago, on the eve of being produced in Court.

The doctor was the prime suspect in the murder of two of his seniors, CMOs of Lucknow and was reported by the police as having links to the two deaths before his.

A post-mortem revealed that Sachan was killed after being tortured.

The Sachan family wants an inquiry into the matter by the Central Bureau of Investigation, a central government agency, and not by the State police as it fears that the murders were carried out by higher ups in the UP administration. Two ministers have already been dropped from the UP cabinet over the issue.
