Nokia E6 price falls by Rs 1,000 even before it is launched

Nokia E6 — the touch-cum-candybar-qwerty phone from Nokia has become cheaper even before it has been launched.

While the company announced a “best buy” price of Rs 17,999 for its pre-order customers, Letsbuy.com — India’s specialist digital retailer — has just reduced the price to Rs 16,999 for those who place the pre-order through its site.

Pre-orders are orders placed before a phone is launched officially. They are used to ensure availability in cases where the phone is likely to run out of stock immediately on launch.

Besides the new Symbina Anna, the E6 model will be one of the few phones to have both a candy-bar shape, a blackberry-like qwerty keypad and a capacitive touch-screen.
