Good news: top 100 IT firms bullish on hiring this year

A survey of hiring managers in IT companies across the country has found them to be very bullish, despite fears of an inflation-triggered slowdown.

Most of the respondents believe that their employee head-count will jump by around 11-15% this year — indicating strong growth in hiring.

“36% expect this figure to be as much as 16-20%,” pointed out executive hiring site headhonchos.com — which conducted the survey.

At the same time, the managers expect the IT industry to continue to face high attrition rates of around 14.4% — compared to around 15-17% in 2010.

The survey took the responses of the top 100 IT firms in the country.
