Baba Ramdev’s condition has worsened further.
“He is suffering from dehydration.. His weight has come down by five kilogram… It has gone down by 1.5 kg since we have been examining him,” said the doctors examining Baba Ramdev.
“He has to break his fast immediately.. He must be moved to the hospital for cardiac monitoring..” the doctor said, adding that he has been trying to get in touch with the District Magistrate.
Pulse rate is 58, requiring his heart to be monitored using machines, the doctor said.
“It will be difficult to get the conditions under control if he deteriorates further.. organs may suffer irreparable damage,” the doctor said, adding that today, Baba may have to be forced fed.
When asked what Baba’s response was, the doctor said, “he said he will go on for another one or two days more.”
But the doctor said that Baba had promised yesterday to have glucose today, but refused to carry out the promise today.
Baba’s aide Acharya Balkrishna is faring much better, with a pulse rate of 74 beats per minute and wieght of 73.5 kg.
