L&T partners with Microsoft to set up “Green Campuses”

L&T Technology Services, the information technology company of the L&T group, said it has partnered with Microsoft Corporation to offer a solution to lower energy bills and cost of maintenance.

L&T Technology Service’s Integrated Building Energy Management Systems (iBEMS) framework will be available on Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform enabling enterprises to deploy and manage energy consumption as well as carbon footprint for entire campuses, buildings and facilities by the use of Internet of Things, predictive analytics and machine learning securely on the Azure cloud, said the company.

iBEMS is a smart campus framework that lowers energy bills and cost of maintenance while extending asset life for cities, campuses and buildings.

This unique framework enables energy generation management and saving up to 40% in energy costs, the company added.

The technology rolled out will be used by enterprises across the industrial, medical, transportation and telecom and Hi-Tech segments.

iBEMS on Azure will be commercially available in this month, the company further added.
