HTC Corporation said it has renewed its association for the third consecutive year as principal sponsor of John Abraham’s football franchise North East United at the forthcoming Hero Indian Super League 2016.
As the principal sponsor, HTC will occupy the front chest position on the NEU-FC Jersey.
The team that represents the 8 states of North-east India at the championship which kicks off on 1st October 2016.
Despite a promising start, North East United failed to make it to the top half in the ISL last year.
Faisal Siddiqui, President- South Asia of HTC said, “The India Super League has been successful in capturing the mindshare of the masses in India’s cricket-dominated sports milieu and we are proud to be a part of this initiative to revolutionize Indian football.”
The Indian Super League is a men’s professional football league in India. The league is officially named the Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship reasons and the league serves as one of the top tournaments in India along with the domestic I-League.
