Jindal Steel and Power said that it has secured coal supply of 1.18 million tonnes per year (MTPA) for 5 years for its 540 + 134 MW captive power generation plants in Dongamahua and Raigarh in Chhattisgarh.
The long‐term linkage will ensure steady and assured supply of coal for the captive power plants, thereby enhancing the Fuel Security for the power plants said the company.
“The 1.18 MTPA Coal linkage to our captive power generation facility significantly enhances the operational efficiencies of the power plantsm” said Ravi Uppal, MD & Group CEO – JSPL. “We are looking forward to the next round of coal linkage auctions to fill the gap, and would selectively participate to further enhance our long‐term Fuel Security requirements at prudent terms of our Steel and Power businesses.”
