T-Series enters the Indian mobile handset market

T-Series, which kickstarted the audio cassette revolution in India, has entered the mobile handset space with the launch of its first phone SS909.

The T-Series SS909, priced at Rs 5,999 on Snapdeal, is powered by a quad-core processor and has half a GB of RAM. The company did not specify the display resolution, but said the size of the display is 4.5 inch.

T Series’ entry is in association with distribution company Shachii Gizmo Ltd.

“We aim to strike a chord with the national customer base by offering products that are an answer to their specific preferences,” said Sandeep Agrawal CEO,Shachii Gizmo.

Based out of New Delhi, T-Series Mobiles aims to become the preferred mobile brand for the Indian buyer.

“The products that the association between Shachii Gizmo and T-Series Mobiles will incubate include the Feature phone, TouchPhone and Smart Phone. Even the feature ohone and touch phone from us comprise various models suiting diverse customer requirements. All models are preloaded with Whatsapp and support up to 400 contacts and 100 SMSes,” the companies said.

Shachii Gizmo Pvt has been in the Indian mobile industry for over a decade. It claims to be a master distributor for many international brands from around the world.
