A day after B Saikumar resigned from his position as CEO of Network18, his second in command, Raman Deep Singh Bawa, has also put in his papers.
The reason for his resignation was not clear.
Network18 has recently found its business news division underperforming, while its general news division has been doing well. The company also saw the moving out of popular anchor Udayan Mukherjee last year from his active roles to a consulting position.
Reliance Industries has beneficial ownership of the media conglomerate, started by Raghav Bahl.
Bawa has worked with BHEL, Trackparts of India Limited, Weston Components Limited and Bestavision Electronics Limited.
Like Saikumar, who spent about 14 years with the group, Bawa also spent about 19 years with Network18. His name figures sixth on the list of key people on the company’s website.
