SpiceJet, Tripfactory launch combined holiday portal

Spicejet and holiday website TripFactory.com launched a combined website for booking holidays using SpiceJet’s flights and Tripfactory’s holiday packages.

Called mySpiceTrip.com, the site will offer 100,000 holiday packages at up to 80% discount, SpiceJet said.

The website will involve proposals and programs from real travel agents.

“This is a unique product because the information, expertise, holiday packages and pricing are not available in one place anywhere else on the Internet. This platform enables hotel and holiday suppliers to add their own inventory directly which means this is their cheapest distribution channel. This information is curated and backed by actual experts with years of collective knowledge, and is presented at a click of a mouse with technology that serves and learns like a human,” said Kaneswaran Avili, Chief Commercial Officer, Spicejet.

“We see this also as a great step towards bringing the Offline Travel Experts online as they bring special deals, invaluable knowledge and great experiences which are missing online today. This is a platform that has come at a time where the tourism industry is at its inflection point and we take pride in playing an active role in the growth of the vertical going forward”, Gupta further said.
