SpiceJet cuts ticket prices under Rs 999 Monsoon Offer, Del-Mum at 3.3k

SpiceJet is offering air fares of Rs 999 (excluding taxes and fees) for non-stop domestic flights for travel during August 4 – October 15, 2015.

Booking have to be made till midnight, July 30, 2015.

Usually, airline fees is only around 40% of the total price of a ticket. However, it should be noted that most of the routes covered by the scheme are short distance ones. Longer routes are available at other rates.

The Rs 999 scheme is available on key sectors like Bengaluru-Kochi, Delhi-Udaipur, Kolkata-Agartala, Pune-Goa, Amritsar-Srinagar, Hyderabad-Goa, Mumbai-Belgaum, Kolkata-Guwahati, Chennai-Vizag, and so on.

The following are the offers on longer routes.

Delhi-Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Bengaluru are being sold at Rs 1,499.

Mumbai-Chennai and Mumbai-Kochi are priced at Rs 1,899.

Mumbai-Delhi and Kolkata-Port Blair are going for Rs 2,099. The final price, including taxes, for this route is Rs 3,318.

Delhi-Jammu and Ahmedabad-Pune are on offer at Rs 1,099.

Mumbai-Hyderabad and Delhi-Srinagar tickets are available at Rs 1,299.

Bengaluru-Pune and Chennai-Goa are avalable Rs 1,399.

Mumbai-Amritsar and Delhi-Guwahati are selling for Rs 2,499, while Delhi-Goa and Kolkata-Bengaluru are priced at Rs 2,599.

“Tickets under this offer are non-refundable (taxes and fees are refundable), though changes are permitted for Rs 2,000/- plus fare difference, if any,” it said.

Tickets can be booked on www.spicejet.com, on online travel portals, and through travel agents.

“This sale is not available through the SpiceJet call centre or at our airport ticket offices,” it said.

SpiceJet has been launching one scheme after another. Less than a month ago, it offered tickets at Rs 1 if you buy the return ticket at full price.

Last week, SpiceJet also offered an EMI scheme, under which you can pay the ticket price in EMIs of upto 12 months.

For a limited time customers who book their tickets via the SpiceJet mobile app on Apples iOS or Google Android can also receive 50% off on pre-booked meals that they book through the app, SpiceJet said.

Booking has to be done using the latest version of the app.

“There is limited inventory under the monsoon offer, and seats will be available on First-Come-First-Served basis,” SpiceJet said.

Sales fares are not applicable on group bookings.

SpiceJet has been registering the highest seat occupancy rate of 91.7% for the months of April, May and June, largely due to its successful sale schemes.
