In 2013, Director Maneesh Sharma brought Shuddh Desi Romance to the world along with Vaani Kapoor, whose next film is the romantic comedy Tamil film Aaha Kalyanam, a remake of of YRF’s Band Baaja Baraat.
And now in 2015, in a whole new film with a brilliant story, Maneesh is ready to launch another star, Bhumi Pednekar, a former employee of YRF, in his upcoming Dum Laga Ke Haisha.
It’s his first film as a producer, and the perfectionist Maneesh faces his own debut to live up to, but will Bhumi continue Maneesh’s tradition of launching successful starlets? Only time will tell.
