ecvMukta Arts said its subsidiary Whistling Woods International Ltd has opened its 8th school — Whistling Woods International School of Design — in association with ECV, a design school in France. The École de communication visuelle or ECV is a French private design school.

The India school offers a Bachelor’s degree in visual communication and design, a three year programme, divided into six semesters.

This is India’s first full-time degree program in visual & communication design in association with The Tata Institute of Social Science, the company said.

The first year of the programme will provide basics of art, aesthetics, drawing, multimedia, colour theory, and design principles.

Students will be introduced to detailed areas of skill development such as corporate design, typography, art direction, web design, design processes, and publishing design in the second year.
