Kalpataru developer to support Mumbai railway station painting drive

Real estate company Kalpataru Ltd said it will support ‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’, an initiative to beautify the railway premises in Mumbai.

The project includes makeover of 36 Railway stations across Central and Western suburban lines in Mumbai between 2nd to 8th October 2016.

It is a joint initiative of ‘Mumbai First’ and ‘Making A Difference’ in collaboration with the Western and Central Railways.

‘Hamara Station Hamari Shaan’ is among the biggest mass volunteering initiatives in the city.

As part of the initiative, Kalpataru will sponsor several stations, and employee volunteers from the company will join volunteer teams at various stations to help beautify pre-designated spaces through thematic paintings.

The initiative involves beautification of station areas through thematic paintings that capture the flavor of the station and its surrounds.

The total paintable area is estimated to be close to one lakh square feet and spans booking windows, platform entrances, and foot over-bridges.
